Thriv Studios ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Nutrient mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Nutrient.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

  • Account data: email address when you sign up for newsletters or contact us
  • Health & nutrition data: food logs, meal plans, water intake, weight, and goals you enter in the app
  • Device & usage data: app usage patterns, crash reports, and performance data (collected anonymously)

  • Device identifiers and operating system version
  • App version and session duration
  • Crash reports and diagnostics (anonymized)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data exclusively to:

  • Provide and improve the Nutrient app experience
  • Power AI features (meal planning, food recognition, nutrition coaching)
  • Send product updates and feature announcements (newsletter subscribers only)
  • Respond to your support requests and feedback
  • Detect and fix bugs and performance issues

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data to any third party. We may share limited data with:

  • AI providers (Anthropic) to process food photo analysis and coaching prompts — only the content you submit, not your identity
  • Cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services) for secure hosting and storage
  • Apple for In-App Purchase billing and HealthKit integration, subject to Apple's own privacy policy

4. Health Data

Nutrient may read from and write to Apple Health (HealthKit) with your explicit permission. Health data synced with Apple Health is governed by Apple's privacy policies. We do not share HealthKit data with advertisers or third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized crash and diagnostic data may be retained longer for product improvement. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us at privacy@thrivstudios.app.

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we are committed to protecting your information.

7. Children's Privacy

Nutrient is not directed to users under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe an underage user has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Opt out of marketing communications
